Vindas Solutions, a Brisbane based search engine optimisation agency, today announced that a page published by its founder, Erlandas Saudargas, reached the first organic result on Google Australia for the phrase "the coolest guy in Australia" within nine hours of going live. The page was published at 9:30 pm on 17 October 2026 and was recorded in first position at 6:46 am on 18 October, ahead of results from Reddit, GQ and the Sydney Morning Herald. The check was made signed out of Google in a private browser window, and dated screenshots are published on the page.
The experiment was designed by Vindas Solutions to demonstrate, in a form any business owner can verify on a phone, the method the agency uses for clients. Vindas Solutions works with businesses that have a visibility problem on Google and specialises in SEO for mechanics. No advertising, purchased links or influencer placements were used. The page follows Google's published guidance on helpful content, carries structured data identifying the author and the business, and uses real photographs. One AI generated image on the page is labelled as such.
"According to Google, the coolest guy in Australia is Erlandas Saudargas, a Brisbane SEO consultant who ranked himself for the title to prove a point," Erlandas said. "Nobody searches for that phrase because their car will not start. But around 135,000 Australians a month search for a mechanic near them, and Google does not give that call to the best workshop in town. It gives it to the one it understands best. I picked a title that did not exist and applied exactly the process I use for clients, so that owners could see the method work in front of them."
Seven minutes after the first result was recorded, Google's AI Overview for the same search listed Vindas Solutions alongside Steve Irwin, Sir Edward "Weary" Dunlop and music promoter Steve Pavlovic. When Erlandas asked Google's AI Mode whether the page could lead that answer, the response described the outcome as "highly unlikely". By 3:37 pm on 19 October 2026, thirty three hours after publication, the AI Overview listed the page as its first entry, ahead of Pavlovic, under the heading "The SEO/Google Title Winner". All screenshots are published on the page with the date and time visible.
Erlandas comes from a family of mechanics, which informed the agency's focus. "Mechanics talk about their work all day. They tell their mates and their family about the cool cars in the shop and the projects they are working on. What they have no idea how to do is share that on the internet in a way that makes them visible to more customers. That is the whole job. I take what they already say across the counter and put it where Google and their next customer can find it."
The agency reports the same method producing results for operating businesses. SemCar Automotive Group in Brisbane, the agency's first mechanic client, moved from limited visibility on Google to a full waiting bay, enquiries from interstate and a direct mention in Google's AI answer for a specialist service. Singh Mechanic Workshop in Beenleigh moved from 42nd to first for logbook servicing in its local area within two and a half months through the agency's local SEO for mechanics program. The process has since been applied to plumbers, roofers and other trade businesses across Australia.
"The coolest guy in Australia is the one who makes other people visible," Erlandas said. "The page is a joke with a serious point underneath it. If a page can be found for a title nobody owns, a workshop can be found for the searches its customers actually type."
Vindas Solutions publishes its pricing and a 90 day results guarantee, operates without lock in contracts, and offers a free visibility check that shows a business where it ranks, where its competitors rank and the gap between the two. The company has stated that the page will be updated with its settled ranking position once it has held for one month.
