Seattle Seahawks safety Nick Emmanwori is inactive for the team’s season opener against the New England Patriots with an ankle injury

SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle Seahawks safety Nick Emmanwori is inactive for the team's season opener against the New England Patriots with an ankle injury.

Emmanwori has been working his way back from offseason ankle surgery and was limited in practice all week. He was listed as questionable but will miss the game along with safety Ty Okada, who is out with a hamstring injury.

The other inactive players for Seattle are receiver Tory Horton (hamstring), guard Beau Stephens, tight end Nick Kallerup and defensive end Mike Morris. Jalen Milroe is the emergency third quarterback.

Running back TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) and guard Ben Brown (knee) were inactive with injuries for the Patriots. The other inactive players for New England are cornerback Karon Prunty, linebacker Erick Hunter, tackle Walter Rouse and receiver Efton Chism. Behren Morton is the emergency third quarterback.

The Patriots elevated punter Mitch Wishnowsky and running back Lan Larison from the practice squad.

The Seahawks also elevated safety Rodney Thomas II and running back Velus Jones from the practice squad for the game.
